Get ready Middle Earth fans! Warner Brothers’ and New Line Cinemas are officially licensing something dwarves, hobbits, elves, and orcs might finally agree on (or not). That’s right, a new line of beers inspired by The Hobbit franchise is shipping to distribution centers on the western section of the country this week.

Fish Brewing, Ocean Brands, and BevLink teamed up to bring this line of beers to your fridge. Not only that, they’re clearly aiming to get you as drunk as a hobbit. Each beer comes in a 22-ounce bottle and weighs in at 9.5% ABV.

Here are the official descriptions according to BevLink:

Gollum Precious Pils

Gollum Precious Pils (credit: Warner Brothers / Beer Pulse)

A strong Imperial Pils, with flavors as smooth and crafty as Gollum himself. Like the ring which Gollum pursued for the rest of his life, his “precious” pils, if your quest leads you to it, could extend your life too! (at least we’d like to think so) It will, at a minimum, make your journey a little more enjoyable!”

Smaug Stout (credit Warner Brothers / Beer Pulse)

Smaug Stout is styled after a classic Russian Imperial Stout, but with a subtle hint of Habanero chilis to remind you of the fire and danger awaiting you in your journey to The Lonely Mountain. Pronounced notes of Coffee and Chocolate balanced with Northwest Hops and a touch of heat produce an exceptional imperial stout, a worthy reward for your hard-fought journey.”

The Hobbit Bolg Belgian Style Trifel (credit: Warner Brothers)

An Orc chieftain who ruled for 150 years, Bolg would drink his grog of choice and no one would tell him otherwise – a flavorful strong Belgian Tripel. Some said it refined an otherwise gruesome character.”

The line of beers is joining an increasingly long list of cooler than cool beers, wines, and spirits including the newly released Planet Series by Bell’s Brewery; the Game of Thrones inspired Wines of Westeros; as well as the new Star Trek beers, Vulcan Ale & Klingon Warnog (both of which the Rogue Planet crew got to sample at the 2014 Las Vegas Star Trek Convention) from the Federation of Beer. Things are looking mighty good for the of age geek community… Reviews of ALL of these to follow.
