It’s here! It’s here! It’s here! Finally, the long awaited trailer for Jurassic World has been released. This comes a full two days ahead of it’s anticipated Thanksgiving day release. This is quite possibly a bid to avoid being overshadowed by the pending same day release of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer.
It’s been 13 years since we’ve last seen a disaster of dinotastic proportions but Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, and BD Wong amongst others, promises to bring us just that. According to Imbd, “Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond.” When attendance at the park starts to drop, experimentation leads to the creation of a new super hybrid dinosaur, to which Owen, played by Pratt, remarks, “You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea.” Yeah, we might agree with him on that.
Chris Pratt and dinosaurs? What else could you possibly want for this holiday season!? Well, a Jeff Goldblum cameo would be nice, but alas, director Colin Trevorrow already shattered those dreams.
The fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise is directed by Trevorrow, who also co-wrote the screenplay for the movie with Derek Connolly. Steven Spielberg snags an executive producer credit, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley acting as producers. Jurassic World opens in theaters June 12, 2015.
