It seems The Avengers: Age of Ultron has done a sterling job of inspiring cosplayers on their next project. But now we’ve got a Ultron helmet created almost entirely from a 3D printer.

The helmet involved the input of three artists, Jacob Morin, who made the computer model in Blender, Michael Ruddy, who printed it out with a 3D printer, and Sean Shaw, who made a mold and added the finishing touches. They wouldn’t admit which, but one of the three artists is only seventeen years old!

The entire printing process alone took 80 hours, which perhaps shows why they haven’t gotten around to the rest of the suit yet.

Pretty freaking awesome if you ask me. I have trouble making a eye mask out of construction paper…
