Where are the aliens? Possible solutions to the Fermi Paradox animated

In May 2015, design studio Kurzgesagt published an animated explanation of the Fermi Paradox–a problem presented by physicists Enrico Fermi in the 1950s. Fermi pointed out the conflict between the probability that life is widespread in the universe and the lack of evidence to support that probability. Basically, he said that, if extraterrestrials are everywhere, why haven’t we found them yet?

On June 4, a follow-up video was posted, which illustrates some potential explanations to the Fermi Paradox.
