Hey all. Ryan Sprague here from Rogue Planet. I had the immense pleasure of attending the second night of the SOLD OUT Foo Fighters concert here in my backyard of Queens, New York on July 16th.
“I would like you guys to share with me the greatest fucking moment of my fucking entire life right now,” Grohl exclaimed to the audience. This is when Dave Grohl (albeit from his custom-made throne) invited former members of the punk band, Bad Brains, to come on stage. Darryl Jenifer and Dr. Know took the stage to play two of their hits with Grohl and the band.
They started off with “How Low Can a Punk Get,” seen in the fan shot video below, followed by “The Regulator.”
Foo Fighters played every hit you can possibly think of, including some new material from their latest album, Sonic Highways. The concert, in my opinion, was a massive success as can be seen on my face, and the stranger behind me… (Apologies to said stranger)
With Grohl continuing to play and sing despite his injury in Sweden this past month, Foo Fighters remain one of the hardest working bands out there. And it was pretty awesome seeing one of my favorite bands playing with one of their favorites. Full circle has never seemed so apropros.
