Savvy cocktail connoisseurs are aware that science plays a role in crafting a good drink. And Wired decided to create a web series called Booze Science to explore and explain some of the chemistry and physics behind your favorite bar beverages.

“Science is what makes booze taste good—and we’re going to be showing you how to bend that science to your will and make drinks better at home,” details Wired articles editor Adam Rogers.
