Remember when ABC shelved that Mockingbird spinoff of Agents of SHIELD earlier this year? Well, there’s a new Marvel series in the works now. According to Variety, ABC has ordered a pilot episode for a new comedy series from Marvel titled “Damage Control.” The show would follow the crew that is in charge of cleaning up the destructive aftermath of superhero battles.

This is an interesting topic to explore, seeing, as a disaster expert estimated that the damage caused by the Avengers battle in New York would have cost $160 billion. The show is based off of the comic book series from the same name that entered the scene in 1989. The characters from Damage Control have played crucial roles in other Marvel comics as well, perhaps the most interesting being Civil War. As if you need a reminder, Captain America: Civil War is set for its release on May 6, 2016 in the U.S.

Could this be Marvel’s way of making sure that “it’s all connected” between the MCU and its TV shows? Or do they simply want to try their hand at comedy? We’ll have to wait and see how the series develops.
