Hunters is an alien conspiracy drama based on Whitley Strieber’s 2013 New York Times best-selling novel, Alien Hunter. The show follows agent Flynn Carroll as he joins the ExoTerroism Unit (ETU), a secret government agency tasked with capturing aliens (Hunters) living among humans.

Powerhouse producer Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead, the Terminator movies, Aliens, The Abyss) and Natalie Chaidez (12 Monkeys, Heroes) are the team behind Hunters.

Strieber, a self-proclaimed alien abductee, has had several of his novels adapted for the screen. The 1989 film Communion, starring Christopher Walken, was based on his book by the same name. And The Hunger was adapted for the 1983 film of the same name starring David Bowie and Susan Sarandon.

Here is an extended preview of Hunters. The series premieres on Syfy in April 2016.
