As Star Wars fans are aware, many items have been created in the likeness of Han Solo frozen in carbonite (ice cube trays, coffee tables, desks, refrigerators, just to name a few). Although this experience depicted near the end of The Empire Strikes Back and also near the beginning of Return of the Jedi is likely one that ole Han would prefer to forget, it appears that some fans want to memorialize his frozen captivity, and are willing to pay Han-somely for it.

The latest Han Solo in carbonite comes from Sideshow Collectibles. The company has created a full-sized replica of Han frozen in carbonite. The figure towers at seven and a half feet tall! CNET describes:

Life-size Solo looks like it doesn’t cut corners. It includes Han-in-carbonite along with a glowing base, side components, and glowing blue system in the back. It looks so real, you could tell your friends you froze him yourself.

This life-sized Han was unveiled at San Diego Comic Con 2013, but it hasn’t gone on sale yet. Sideshow Collectibles begins taking pre-orders on Thursday, April 10 for the “special introductory price” of $6,999. They also offer “flexible payment plans.” Hopefully these payment plans are more flexible than Jabba’s though.
