    Awesome way to kickstart the podcast, vatos!

    I’m a huge animation fan –we’ll I’m pretty huge as it is, but what I mean is I’ve always been fascinated by the art of The Illusion of Life, to borrow the title from the greatest book written on the subject, by 2 of the Nine Old Men, Frank Thomas & Ollie Johnston– and in fact my first real job when I was still in college was in a small animation startup here in Mexico, where I was hired as an animator –boy that book really came in handy!– but eventually ended up doing everything from layouts, backgrounds to character design, which was my favorite.

    Eventually the little startup collapsed due to several unfortunate circumstances, and even though I tried to knock on some doors trying to convince people that what I lacked in experience I could compensate with enthusiasm & raw talent, eventually I gave up & followed my dad’s advice to find a job in the field I’d originally studied for in college –industrial design.

    I still look at videos or images of Pixar studios trying to hold the tears 🙁

    Anyway, awesome 1st episode, fantastic guest, and I’ll try to check out the rest as they keep coming 🙂
