After many months of casting buzz swirling around the internet, StarWars.com has officially announced the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.

Original Stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, and Kenny Baker will be joined by John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Max Von Sydow, and Domhnall Gleeson. Additionally, as we reported previously, we will see Girls’ Adam Driver in the new flick, reportedly as the film’s leading villain.

Director J.J. Abrams had this to say about the news, “We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”

But let’s face it, the best news is that  John Williams will return to score the film, because it’s not really Star Wars without him.

The film is set to hit screens December 18, 2015.
