‘Supergirl’ Extended Trailer Released!

May 14, 2015 Ryan Sprague

CBS has just released a lengthy first look trailer for their upcoming DC Comics series, Supergirl. It can be viewed below.

Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El, Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

The premiere episode will air in the same time slot of Fox’s Gotham, pitting two DC shows against one another. This sounds like either the smartest marketing ploy in recent DC history, or a complete mis-step. With SmallvilleArrow, The Flash, and soon-to-be Legends of Tomorrow all saturating the CW, we can only hope this female-centric show can prove that DC is not the boy’s club we all make it out to be.

Let us know what you think of the extended trailer in the comments section below, and be on the lookout for Supergirl, coming this Fall to CBS!
